I am so thrilled to announce the birth of our 5th child!! We feel so stinking blessed to be blessed with 5 children from the Lord. We don’t take it for granted how easily we have been able to bring children into our lives. You have your own beautiful story and we were filled with so much joy when you made your appearance.
We had no idea if you would be a boy or a girl! Dad was leaning boy which was shocking since he usually thought boy and mom was thinking girl for most of the 3rd trimester – tho the last week I wondered if it was boy. But either way I was SHOCKED when dad yelled boy, and was like crap we don’t have a name nailed down for a boy!
We were wondering if we would have another baby show up a few weeks early— and were elated when you did! Mom’s body was very tired and sore of pregnancy and knowing it was my last i tried to soak it up but i wasn’t going to be sad if it was cut short. Doc Hellbusch checked me Friday and said no dilation really and while it was a bummer – I’ve never really been dilated early my it doesn’t seem to affect my labors.

When i started to have contractions at suppertime I didn’t get my hopes up – it had been weeks of prodromal labor. While we were sitting watching tv tho I went to the bathroom and had a ton of cervical fluid with a ting of blood… and I assumed seeing that it wasn’t like the rest of the weeks of contractions. After a few hours it became clear this would probably be the real deal.
We got things packed up and just kind of waited… but when mom’s water broke we KNEW from past births not to mess around and we would get to meet you SOON! Grammy stayed with your siblings, dad drove very fast to the hospital and we walked in right at midnight.
They read up on my past and didn’t mess around getting us situated and ready to meet our baby! You made your arrival by 1:10AM. Definitely a wild finish with Dad and the doctor throwing mom on the bed because you were coming out and dad getting fluid all over a new pair of jeans…. but we don’t like boring stories 🙂 Dad yelled that it was a BOY and man i was shocked!!! We had been secretly hoping for a sweet little boy to finish our family but were going to be content with finishing with 3 girls. Dad was elated for another son!

You weren’t one to make much noise right away, and finally they convinced you to whimper but you were very content to be on your mom’s chest and be left alone. We couldn’t believe you were just like your brothers and came two weeks early, right before Daylights Savings. You were a skinny little guy we could tell and measured in at 7lb even. 20 1/4 inches made you the longest boy but shorter than your sisters. TONS of hair like the rest of them which i couldn’t believe because I barely had any heartburn this time around. And right away it was evident you had a very big lip tie!

We were so thankful doctor Hellbusch was able to deliver you since you came early enough. We settled in and mom was obviously too excited to sleep so we had a long wait for all of our people to wake up and hear that you had arrived! Many were shocked again. we sent snaps that told zero information but just showed that a baby had arrived!

Grammy took the kids to church and in children’s message Wyatt asked the Pastor to pray for his mom in the hospital so that got the rumor mill rolling FAST 🙂 We were ecstatic to tell everyone of your arrival the only problem was…. we didn’t have a name. We were between two, so for your first 24 hours you were nameless. Which meant the suggestions for names came ROLLING in! Dad finally caved and let mom name you Boone and he picked the middle name Stephen.

Everyone loved your name! The kids came to see you after Sunday lunch and I was SO excited for them to finally get to meet the baby they had prayed for and begged to meet for so long. All 4 were over the moon as we expected. You are only lucky little brother who is beyond adored by all! Nana/Papa, Grammy/Doug, Aunt Momo/Cody all stopped by to see you.

Dad stayed at home both nights and we enjoyed the peace and quiet of the hospital! You were a fabulous baby and slept great in the nursery for them. Mom couldn’t sleep much that first night but thankfully CASHED out the second. The girls visited before going to Aunt Momo’s Monday and the boys came after school. The girls missed their mommy and I missed them all and was ready to get home! It was nice to be there and get fed and taken care of tho.

Something we loved they had never done before was they had big sister and big brother bracelets for the kids which was such a big deal to them and they felt so special since mom/dad/Boone had bracelets too.

We impatiently waited to be released on Tuesday and didn’t get out of there until near 2. We got home and grammy dropped off all the kids and a meal which we were so grateful for! I was so ready to have us all under one roof and together.

Boone you are such an answered prayer, we just knew someone was missing from our family and it was you and we are so thankful the Lord blessed us with a healthy pregnancy, delivery, and little boy! We are soaking in every minute of you and feeling so blessed by our huge village of people taking care of us!
