Another perfect month with our sweet baby of the family. Its been a month of lots of smiles and coos and just pure joy! You truly are the easiest baby there is and just go with the flow as long as you are with your mama. We are all obsessed with seeing your smiles, and love how many people have got to meet you this month with us on the go for events so much.

First smile was on Good Friday and was worth the wait. your sweet top lip curls up and we all melt. you really shell them out in the morning, but honestly whenever you wake up from a nap the whole day you are a smiling machine. You take a fabulous morning nap for me every day if we are home and are ready for it soon after waking… it’s truly so nice to be able to depend on that to get a food handle on my day. You might not sleep quite as much as Faye did… but you are close behind. Love to nap in the rock n play, solly wrap and every once in a blue moon in your carseat. We have such a good nursing routine and you aren’t as much of a cluster feeder as your brothers were. you wait your three hours and nurse great. have yet to ever have a bottle…. NEED to work on that since you are 9 weeks and start daycare in 3 weeks. But man with so many kids the thought of pumping a bottle is daunting when nursing is SO easy.

When it comes to sleeping at night, i’d say 1-2 nights a week you have bad gas and have to fuss it out a little…. but honestly you are getting into a great routine of just needing rocked to sleep quick and going to sleep in your rock n play for 4-5 hours until 12:30-1. Again just having something i can rely on is so so good for my mental health with just a busy house and so many needs and to make me feel human. SO THNAKFUL you go to bed so easy when your sisters were tough. After you wake up at 12:30 you swoop into bed with mom and nurse as much as you want to. i usually fall asleep and so we just sleep together the rest of the night. love waking p with you sleeping away in the crook of my arm. Some nights you will nurse quite a bit and others not until 6 am. either way it is no big deal because mom is sleeping and i dont feel too tired with this arrangement. At the end of the month you did get a cold from your sisters and so you did usually wake at like 4 all stuffed up and snot flying out and coughing over not being able to breath… poor thing! But during the day you took the cold really well.

Again so thankful you didn’t make me have to give up dairy like Faye, and ive even snuck in tomato and you don’t seem too affected… I feel spoiled! You had a busy month with Palm Sunday and being with ALL your cousins, Easter sunday, Tulip Time, and your brothers ball games. You live by the motto if i am with my mommy in the wrap i will do anything and be perfect. First Tulip Time mom made a hat for you, borrowed Emily Boender’s boy shirt, and used the pants from Wyatt’s first Tulip Time. you rocked every single day scrubbing streets in the wrap, walking in the baby parade sleeping on Nana, and 3 hours straight in the wrap while your siblings rode a float and in the sheriff vehicle.

You love showers if you are covered in blankets, started losing all your precious dark hair this month, love watching ceiling fans, doesn’t really like a paci but will use it when sleeping only. Does not like being on the floor by himself, gas, or sleeping when the car seat stops moving. Horrible cradle cap like the rest, eyes have a brownish tint, starting to put some weight on but still a skinny boy like Duke, wearing size 1 diapers, and 0-3 months clothing with all the newborn being too little.
