I can actually believe Duke is 7 — because he acts so old and just like Wyatt! Hes had a year of so much growth. He’s a second child who makes sure he is never forgotten. We love his personality, no nonsense and everything that makes him unique!

Duke is our earliest riser and 95% of the time has to wake wyatt up when he gets up because he can’t be left alone. he is still a tired kid and on a summer day when they play and play and play he might fall asleep on the couch early. Every once in awhile i also tell him he has to take a nap because he is exhausted and he will fall asleep. wakes up around 7 (mainly because that is their alarm during the school year, and goes to sleep 8:30 during school year and anywhere from 8:30-9:30 during the summer. Sleeps with a bed FULL of stuff – green blankie, tons of pillows, sperm whale blanket and who knows what else. is our child to wear pajamas and is in full footie even in the middle of summer.

Foodwise – Duke is a very routine type of kid. 90% of the time he wants ceral for breakfast. Always can count on him wanting them and the colored ones. He doesn’t get them often and only from Aldi but he will mix the two of them together too. drinks the milk in his bowl completely gone. Loves cinnamon rolls on sunday.Always happy for breakfast type food like waffles for any meal of the day. Asks for a snack allll the time but also knows the snack times are 10:30 and 3 and never misses those times on a clock. Technically our pickiest eater – but yet he eats SO much we are thankful. He gives us a run for our money with some meat and takes FOREVER but finishes it. Other than that he eats what is put on his plates. loves cottage cheese which we wont eat, pickle lover too like his dad, favorite meal is meatballs of any kind, loves alllll fruits and eats that first every meal. When it comes to dessert he is usually choosing something like popcorn, ice cream, popscicle. Eats his lunches at school and likes everything Grammy makes there.

Kid loves one on one time. he thrives on it, and is such a different kid when he gets craved full attention. He’s always nervous for a competition and usually backs out because he doesn’t want to lose. Loves to build things with Legos and tell me the whole story. usually asks for coloring pictures that come to his mind that day – not consistent like his siblings. could jump on the trampoline for hours, Wyatt is his best friend, loves the Riggen boys. school friends are Clay, Logan, & Jaron. we get more information out of him from school than Wyatt. Plays with the girls at recess. likes to play Gaga ball and other made up games at recess. Shoots hoops for hours and cries if he loses PIG or SNAKE. Very athletic and comes to him more natrually tho he did get in a rut when playing baseball this year with his hitting. loves to play play nine. if he gets to choose tv shows he chooses PBS Kids, Lego Masters, a movie they are into at the moment. Def our child to want to shoot hoops, play catch, throw the football, kick the soccer ball etc. Loves the daily mile walk with mom. Our best bike rider and can be found flying around on those things down hills, on the gravel for his walk. Him and wyatt are always building legos, obstacle courses, new inventions, things out of trash. they truly have such creatvie minds! Loves all his siblings with his whole heart. great helper for Faye, loves to hold Boone, will play mom and dad with betsey. He gets along well with all and also starts fights with all. still a true 2nd born persoanlity. thrives in school with the routine and expectations. great at all subjects. Our child to ask the deep theological questions, always asks what words means, wants to learn all day every day. Good helper even tho he whines at first. has to do his chores with his brother
