I can’t believe it is here and our baby is officially a toddler and not a baby anymore — and i am not goin gto lie, i was really really sad about it the morning of your birthday. I am not usually a sad or emotional person — but MAN when its the last time you will ever have a baby in the house it just feels like you can’t believe this stage of life is over for you and its TOUGH. You were also sick on your birthday and not really into celebrating at all. So you can bet we soaked up the extra cuddles and then celebrated HARD the next day! I’ll write all about your birthday and celebrating you in another post – But this one is about what you are up to.
Man you could not be more adored in life if you tried. everything you do makes all 6 of us so happy and we are always following you around and helping you. You are full of smiles, laid back, and just as happy as they get.
You’ve been a crawling maniac and get wherever you want fast. You also now take those stairs on like a master and we are pulling you from them at least 5 times a day. Love to walk behind your little walker and very good at that and walking with furniture but no interest in actual walking at all. Life is starting to revolve around balls and you love throwing them and chasing them. You also love your school bus pushing it around, messing up your sisters doll house, throwing legos off your brothers lego table, speeding around in a walker inside or outside, going on walks with mom daily, daddy making you giggle.
Food wise you are a fabulous eater if it is something that you like. Your faves right now are black beans, meat, hot dogs, cheese sticks, waffles, ice cream, candy, applesauce and peanut butter bread. Still not the best at drinking from a sippy or bottle and just don’t really care, still nursing 4-5 times a day tho im not sure how much you actually get.
When it comes to sleep you are still usually waking up just once a night for a quick snack. You have been sleeping in a bit since the time change which mom is HERE FOR because when you wake up you are ready to GO even if mom isn’t. We’ve finally got you figured out on a good two nap a day schuedle. you go down at after 10 so that you can get a1.5-2 hour nap. and then try to hold off your second nap until around2;30 or 3 so that you are able to stay up until 8 in the evenings. Usually go down around 8 unless its a sunday or thursday when your schedule gets mixed up and then sometimes 7. Usually nursing to sleep for all naps and evening – not because you need it to fall asleep but just because it makes a nursing schedule easy. Love sleeping with your blankie, a paci, and snuggled under a blanket and a pillow behind you.
Easy on the go in your carseat with all the entertainment back there, happy with having mom stay at home now and more consistency of staying home. love trying to keep up with your siblings and think they are the funniest things ever. Got you consistent on a probiotic which has helped with your pooping a lot. love love love to be in the shower and go in often with us. very good at pulling yourself up – and plopping on your booty to get yourself down. want to be around the chaos and get calluses on your feet and knees from crawling so much. Want to be outside taking it all in – so happy when you are out there watching the dogs and your siblings. liking the cozy coupe and getting around in it backwards.
Probably won’t make it to your doc appt but you are the shortest of your siblings at 1 when we measured at home. Wearing size 4 diapers, barely fit in size 3 shoes, wearing 12-18 mo tops and usually 9 month pants. jammies have to be 9months or above. still a huge head like all of your siblings, i would say Duke type of hair that is fluffy but came in faster than Wyatt’s, still fighting cradle cap as i always get to – looks like it will be the darker boring light brown, eyes are brown and here to stay, 6 or 7 teeth in there. little bit of curl to the hair! the cutest nose and all of your family thinks you are jsut the cutest. Still mainly saying dada , hi, uh-oh and tries to be a parrot of many things we say. very vocal and chatty. Have the best nose scrunches, face lights up when you see your favorites, know how to talk to your dad on facetime well and are truly pure joy.
