Faye – 2 Months

Feels like you’ve been here forever but it has only been 2 months! What a busy month of life and you have started to show lots of personality. You started smiling and cooing at us (starting with dad) around 5-6 weeks. You always give us tons of smiles right away when you wake up in the morning and its the best. By the end of the month she just dishes the smiles and talking out and seeing that dimple gives us all so much life!! You then take a 2-3 hour nap in your car seat every morning. You still seem to be our baby that sleeps the most and you also go the longest between eating than your siblings. You eat so great and are just so chill about it and never act like you are famished and need to be fed.

This month right when you turned 1 month you started to do a screaming thing from 8-9PM. It def got me a little worked up after it happened 3 days in a row because i had PTSD from colic…. it was never all day but it seemed to be consistent at night. It also seemed to be gas based so we’d do a ton of kicking her legs and try to get rid of the gas. Middle of the month when i took her to the chiropractor and Lani said try cutting dairy/sugar/gluten. I cut dairy well and dropped a lot of the sugar I had been eating and it definitely seemed to make things better. I don’t know if she was growing out of it or if it made a big difference, but she became a lot easier most nights and gave in to bed way easier.

Doesn’t go to bed until 9:30-10 no matter how much we try to get her to go down earlier. By the end of the month has been doing a lot better about sleeping in her bed. usually will go to bed in her bed for the first stretch and wake up around 2:30-3:30, nurse and then usually go back to bed in her rock n play and not with me. usually waking up again around 6 and then I always let her sleep with me after that. By the end of the month she was going to bed by 9 at the latest and sleeping a good 6-7 hour stretches eating and right back to bed all in her own!

She loves going for ranger rides, being in the wrap, using mom as a pacifier, being outside and all of our attention. She doesn’t like other people holding her besides us, being left alone on the floor, or gas. She started to have her hair lighten up and fluffier, has very blue eyes, cradle cap like the rest of them! She is wearing size 1 diapers, 0-3 and 3 months clothings. At doctor’s appt 11lbs 11 ounces for 61%, 24 inches tall for 91% and 16″ head for 85%, so happy for a healthy growing girl!!
