Three years on the dot later we made it back to Omaha with the Collins crew! Last time we came we had 4 kids with one almost here, and now we brought 7 kids to the zoo this year! Last time we went it broke a record of 97 on Memorial Day weekend and this weekened we went and it was a frigid 48 degrees which we were not expecting. The zoo was pretty full after Covid restrictions had just been lifted.

We took off early and all the kids did really good in the car. We hit some exhibits that we didnt get around to the time before when we went to the zoo. The kids all loved seeing the animals and did really well at listening and not running off which i was thankful for. Betsey was content in the baby bjorn and seeing everything that was going on.
We broke for lunch and went to our cars to eat, then we took on more things that we didnt hit the last time and it definitely was very full and it did take a bit to get through some places. the kids loved the aquarium and the butterflies.

After we were done with the zoo we headed to the hotel so we could go swimming. We love the pool because it is little and easy to watch the kids but has a big slide for them and a small little one, things to play with in the water, and a great shallow end to sit with babies. We just order caseys pizza and relax in a room. In the morning we eat breakfast and then swim some more before taking our time to pack up and head to Texas Roadhouse and some places to shop.

In the morning we headed down for breakfast which was not as awesome after Covid as it used to be, but we ate food and then headed back to the pool to play more. We got all packed up, stopped at some stores, went to Texas Roadhouse as a group, and then finally headed home. Simple and sweet and such a great one to do every few years!
